Over the past 6 months I have been working on a project with Andie Cowie, a British graphic designer and artist living and working in Sweden.
Andie's client is CellMark, a Swedish based multinational paper company, and each year for 22 years he has produced their unique annual reports. He and the company choose an artist to represent CellMark and the artist's work is featured throughout the annual report. The company also buys a piece from the artist and the work is then permanently housed at the CellMark offices. The result is a collection of innovative, visually exciting and diverse annual reports and great looking offices.
In celebration of 25 years since the company was founded, Andie and Cellmark have curated an exhibition at the Design Museum in Gothenburg and are exhibiting the work of the various artists they have used since the collaborative project began - alongside the reports that incorporate the work and year's figures. It has been a great privilege to be this year's artist - and it was a fabulous experience to be able to go to the private view, meet Andie and CellMark and see my A-Z bird quilt in such a beautiful museum.
